Build schools & upgrade technology for students.

If APPROVED on November ballots, Prop. 1 will...

Prop. 2 will...

About the Bond: Prop. 1

Vote to APPROVE the 2026 School Bond!

A 2026 bond package would continue Highline's strong capital construction program, as recommended by the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) — if approved by the school board this summer to place on November ballots.

We anticipate a YES vote on Prop. 1 will provide funding to:

  • Replace Sylvester Middle School

  • Replace Cascade Middle School at the Salmon Creek site

  • Partially rebuild and modernize Chinook Middle School

  • Partially rebuild and modernize the Southern Heights Site as the new location for CHOICE
Academy (6-12), Career Based Services and Realistic Transition Program (18-21).

  • Kickstart initial design work for Hilltop Elementary School and Valley View Early Learning Center.

  • Tackle $50 million of required maintenance and critical needs at schools districtwide, plus improve long-needed ADA access at Highline Memorial Stadium.

This bond proposal would replace or rebuild all of our aging comprehensive middle schools, plus CHOICE Academy and two programs that support students with special needs as they transition beyond high school.

The critical needs fund would pay for required maintenance projects districtwide to prevent emergencies and protect Highline's taxpayer-funded assets.

Strong schools build strong communities. Let’s keep investing in safe, modern learning spaces because of what matters most — our kids.

About the Tech Levy: Prop. 2

YES for the Highline Technology Levy!

Student and staff devices need a regular schedule of replacement, just like school buildings — only they don't last 50+ years.

If approved, the four-year technology levy would do more than pay for laptops. Prop. 2 includes funding for increased digital security and technology support services as Highline strategically transitions staff and students to more secure platforms districtwide.

Like it or not, technology underpins almost everything we do in society. It also makes both public and commercial organizations, and each individual, vulnerable to cyber incidents. Highline has already taken many measures, and transitioned many tools to the most up-to-date level of security.  A steady source of funding to maintain cyber security in an ever-changing world is a must when it comes to our children and families.

Vote YES to fund technology upgrades and increase digital security!
