Yes for safe, modern middle schools & cybersecurity.
Let's rally for the future in Highline.
The Highline School Board is expected to decide soon whether to place a proposed capital bond and technology levy before voters on November 3, 2026.

The proposed bond would rebuild Cascade, Chinook, Sylvester, and CHOICE Academy, improve school safety and security, create career and technical education spaces, and make critical repairs to aging building systems such as roofing, heating, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The proposed technology levy would continue funding for student and staff technology, cybersecurity, internet access, technology infrastructure, and districtwide systems that support teaching and learning.

Why support the upcoming bond recommendation?
Safe, Healthy Schools for Every Student
-
Every student deserves a safe, healthy, and innovative place to learn.
-
Right now, we have some students learning in new, modern buildings and other students learning in deteriorating schools that don’t meet today’s learning or safety standards.
-
The proposed bond would replace aging schools, improve safety and security, and ensure all students have schools that support learning and success.

Responsible Investment in Highline's Future
-
The state does not provide funding for major construction projects like building new schools or critical repairs to our buildings. Local communities must vote to provide this funding.
-
A bond is the most financially responsible way to address our long-term facility needs and make sure all students can learn in safe and healthy schools.
-
Addressing problems now helps avoid more costly repairs and emergency fixes in the future.
-
Maintaining and improving schools protects previous community investments and provides the best value for taxpayer dollars.
-
Highline has a decades-long record of responsible planning and delivering new schools on time and on budget.
-
This is an investment not just for today's students, but for generations of students to come.

Great Schools Build Strong Communities
-
Strong schools strengthen neighborhoods, support families, and contribute to a thriving community.
-
The bond and levy will help our community continue to have great schools.
-
Schools are community assets that serve students, families, and residents for decades.
-
Investing in school facilities and technology is an investment in the future of Highline and the success of the next generation.

Let’s keep investing in safe, modern learning spaces that create a sense of belonging, because we are Highline and what matters most is our kids.

YES for a Highline Technology Levy!
Technology Supports Learning Every Day
-
A four-year technology levy would continue funding for cybersecurity, infrastructure, and technology tools that support learning across the district.
-
The state does not fund the technology systems, operations and devices needed for today’s learning. Like many other districts, Highline relies on levies to bridge the gap between what the state funds and what our students actually need.
-
Technology is an essential part of teaching, learning, communication, and school operations.
-
Students and staff rely on devices, software, internet access, and secure technology systems every day.
