This local education levy continues funding for the programs, services and staff our students count on every day. Without it, Highline Public Schools would face cuts to essential programs and services that help our students learn and thrive.

Your YES vote on Prop. 1 maintained funding to:
 

• Ensure students’ health and safety, including funding for mental health counselors, community safety department staff, cybersecurity and security upgrades at schools.
   

• Prepare our students for the future by funding career and college readiness programs, and competitive pay for our teachers, paraeducators and support staff.
   

• Continue basic school operating needs like materials, supplies, school building maintenance and classroom technology. The state does not fully fund our schools.
   

• Important student opportunities; access to programs that build confidence and opportunity for our students like arts, athletics, theater, clubs, and more.

The state provides zero funding for programs and activities like these. Without this

levy, students lose access to many of the programs that help prepare them for the future.

This renewal is not a new tax. All funds stay here in Highline to support our students and schools.
